The main Venice lagoon islands to visit are Murano, Burano and Torcello. But before you visit them, make sure you have completed the basic Venetian program. Still, island excursions should be after a couple of days in the city itself and definitely not together with Venice on a one-day excursion.

What to see in Padua
Usually tourists visit in Padua Prato della Valle Square and the Cathedral of St. Anthony. Of course, Padua was heavily bombed during the Second World War, but still there is something to see, except for the square and the cathedral, and spend at least half a day.
Bibione resort. 1. Beach, how to get, public transport
Bibione resort is especially popular with the residents of Germany – it is inexpensive and easier to get to than to other resorts. After all, a nightmare road through Innsbruck, Fernpass and the Brenner Autobahn can enter the book of records for the number of time wasted in traffic jams and the number of irreversibly lost nerve cells. But the road through the A10 is still not so busy.

Lido di Jesolo beach, map and what to do
The Venetian lagoon is the closest Adriatic resort region from Germany. We chose Lido di Jesolo. The coastline here is continuous lined with hotels and campings, from Punta Sabbione (the end point of the peninsula from where vaporettos leave for Venice) to Eraclea.
Cividale old town and Lombard temple
The small town of Cividale del Friuli is located east of the relatively large city of Udine, almost at the very border with Slovenia. Our favorite size – the effortless half-day hike. Time in the Cividale old town stopped somewhere in the Middle Ages, and once it was large and significant, the capital of the duchy, a fortified city founded by Julius Caesar himself (Forum Julius = Friuli) on the site of a Celtic settlement.

So, in the first part, we stopped in a wonderful small chapel of the Langobards. Now we go to famous Cividale bridge and to the center – it’s time for shooting competition.
The central square is fenced off with stands with seating and metal fences. Good seats in the stands or good standing positions should be taken half an hour before the start.
Around Venice and Lido di Jesolo. Map of attractions
The first part is about Lido di Jesolo as a resort. Now let’s see where we can go to around Venice and Lido die Jesolo, if for us just lying on the beach is not enough. Lido di Jesolo is a very convenient place in this regard – there are quite a lot of interesting places around Venice within an hour or an hour and a half by car. Also bus or train (from Lido di Jesolo, however, there must be a bus first) are possible.
Udine old town
Udine is good to visit “on the way” or between morning and evening swimming. Not for the whole day, but for a couple of hours is just right..
In the history of the city, nothing outstanding was noted, but the picturesque center has been preserved.
Around Venice. Villa Pisani and other Brenta Villas
Some villas with the Villa Pisani are located around Padua, and the picturesque Euganean Hills stretch to the south. From Padua, you can easily get by train to the walled cities: Montagnana, Cittadella, Castelfranco; to Vicenza, Bassano del Grappa, Treviso, not to mention Venice.
But here we will only talk about the immediate vicinity – more about Villa Pisani and short about other villas.
