Traffic light government in the fight for the love of voters. Help from government in Germany

The government rolled out another generous gift to voters. Somewhere in the back of my mind, the thought is tossing and turning about how much we must pay later, something like “tax-free” Elterngeld, for which you will pay later, when submitting a declaration. But for now, let’s put the thought of the consequences in the attic and rejoice that we are remembered and loved. Next – how exactly they remember about us.

Grundsteuererklärung – real estate declaration in Germany

The Grundsteuererklärung real estate declaration in Germany, although it took a long time to prepare, does not have good explanations with examples. It took me two weeks to fill out, understand and order the papers.

Each land has its own data requirements, but the main points remain the same for all. I have Baden-Württemberg. I consider the declaration from the point of view of an ordinary owner of apartment, not an investor and not an entrepreneur. 9-euro public transport ticket and other gifts

Fuel prices are no longer shocking, only evoke grim resignation, and this mood of the herd does not suit the shepherds – because it makes them a suicidal government that is destined to be swept away and trampled into history in the next electoral cycle. Therefore, it is urgently required to spread the straws and add food. Food and straw should be any that are in stock. So the measures to save us from fuel prices are also a little rotten.

Chief among them is the much publicized 9-euro public transport ticket. I kept waiting for it to finally be approved. After all, they might not have accepted it, the measure is doubtful. But the advertising was so wide that it was already impossible not to accept. Therefore recently for the 9-euro ticket finally voted. The pre-sale starts on May 23rd.

Tax declaration Germany. Anlage EÜR

Filling out Anlage EÜR was not so easy. I once thought that Anlage EÜR is a simple piece of paper with two columns: “Income” and “Expense”. It turned out that this is such a concentrated declaration, where much of what is in a regular declaration is repeated, only in relation to entrepreneurs. Anlage EÜR even has its own applications.

But despite its formidable size, filling out the Anlage EÜR is always presented as the biggest advantage for small entrepreneurs – compared to the dreaded and scary accounting.

What is allowed to do if you have sick leave in Germany without to be fired

if you have sich leave in germany

When my husband received sick leave not with a common cold and bed rest, the question immediately arose: “What, in fact, can and cannot be done during recovery so that the employer does not get indignant?”

In fact, quite a lot is possible to do if you have sick leave in Germany without to be fired, but you are unlikely to want to go to court about this – and the employer will go easily, I have absolutely no doubt. Therefore, we know our rights, but we use them sparingly. You also do not forget to immediately inform the employere about your illness – you may even be fired, although you were quite honestly ill if you forgot to call on time. Fortunately, at least the transfer of the sick leave remains in the past from this year.

What is new in Germany 2022

Let’s see what awaits us in the new 2022.

There are changes in social, pension and tax calculations that do not depend on the will of the average person – the tax scale changes slightly, the tax-free base increases, the pension scale is moving, and so on, so I will not consider them.

First, about what did not fall into the category. On May 15, a selective census of the population will take place – it was postponed due to pandemic.

Holiday at the state expense. Corona-Auszeit

The state believes that during the pandemic, families tensed the most – and this is true. Many were unable to rest last year, and some unhappy families did not go anywhere this year either. To reduce the psychological and financial burden, the government proposes to pay for 90% of the vacation costs for families with limited income.

Who can claim compensation?

Families with limited income and families with disabled people (with more than 50% grad).

The “limited” income is very high and depends on the age and number of children. Thus, a family with three children and an income of less than 114 thousand gross is entitled to a holiday payment. You can count here.

State health insurance in Germany what is deductible – from A to L

95 percent of state health insurance services in Germany are defined by law, so all Krankenkassen are the same. These will be all services related to deteriorating health – visits to doctors, necessary surgeries and examinations.

There is no complete list of paid services.

For example, the right to free treatment services for unnecessary interventions is limited – if you get sick as a result of a tattoo or an operation to improve your appearance.

The Krankenkasse can pay voluntarily for a specific service, or it can offer a choice of several additional services that are paid from the general account – Gesundheitskonto (for example, 200 euros per year for glasses, additional examinations during pregnancy and other services).

New rules for cancellation of contracts

Anti-consumer rules for canceling contracts have spoiled everyone’s nerves at least once in their lives. As soon as you accidentally light up your phone somewhere, aggressive advertisers of electric companies and insurance begin to call you.

Now I have learned not to pick up the phone if the Hamburg code is displayed, and if I do, I ask to call back later and immediately add the number to the black list.

But even agreements that you entered into of your own wish can cause a lot of trouble and make you drag a disgusted Internet provider with you when you move, pay a fitness club, although you were there six months ago for the last time, etc. etc.

I already wrote about it here.

Test Leben in Deutschland (Orientierungstest) in English. 1. Constitution

Test Leben in Deutschland is one of the two basic tests for foreigners in Germany. Some time ago in Germany it was decided that people wishing to live in the country should have a certain minimum knowledge of the history and social structure of the country. The basis was the research that some of the people who want to obtain citizenship (and have received it) are not familiar with the Constitution (Grundgesetz) and / or do not accept it in the part that contradicts their Religion. This minimum knowledge was expressed in special courses (Orientierungskurs), which were added to the integration courses.

if you don’t want or don’t have to take the test yet, this topic may be of interest to you in order to close the gaps in knowledge about the country of residence.
